Have you always wanted to adopt a cat or dog but you can't due to allergies, living arrangements, or other life circumstances?
Do you want to take home every animal you see at the sanctuary but can't even adopt one because you already have a full house?
Do you need to get a present for someone who already has everything?
Did someone ask you what you want as a gift but you already have everything you need and want?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you should SPONSOR an ANIMAL that is living at HEA and needs your help!
A year's sponsorship is: $100 for a cat and $150 for a dog
This sponsorship allows the animal's everyday needs to be met while they are staying at the sanctuary as well as helps cover any veterinary care they need throughout the year.
When you become a sponsor for a cat or dog in need at the sanctuary, you will receive a photograph of the animal and a letter from them to tell you how they are doing. You are also more than welcome to schedule a visit.
Feel free to select an animal pictured below that doesn't have a sponsor yet or let us know if you would like us to pick the animal that is in the most urgent need of a sponsor.
Please send sponsorship donations to:

Misty My name is Misty. I would love to tell you a little about myself. I was turned into a shelter in Michigan with my puppies. My puppies were all adopted out and I was left alone. A long time came and went and I was still waiting for my forever home. A friend of mine contacted Happily Ever After to see if they would be willing to take me in as the people running the shelter weren't going to be able to save me much longer. Happily Ever After agreed to take me and the people from the Michigan shelter were all wonderful and came with me on a ferry ride to Wisconsin. They left me here with many good wishes and now I am looking for a home. I am a sweet, sweet girl. I absolutely love people. Nothing makes me happier than having visitors! I am great with kids and love to give sweet, gentle kisses. My new favorite thing to do is lay on the couch and have my belly scratched. When I play, I prefer plush toys or something soft that I can carry around easily. Hope you come see me soon! I would love to have visitors! Thinking of you, Misty
Update: As of June 2008, I will have been with Happily Ever After for 2 years. I get along great with male dogs, as a matter of fact, I have 3 boyfriends that I go out and play with. I promise to be a great addition to your family, please give me a chance at a new life. |

Tess Hi there, I'm Tess! I came to HEA all the way from Iowa, pretty cool huh?! Yes, a volunteer there loved me so much she contacted HEA and asked them to save me. Luckily they did, and I am here and looking for my forever family. I had a foster home for a while while I was in Iowa too and they sent lots of love along with me. While in my foster home, my foster family found out I have a very strong prey drive, so basically, I can only live with big dogs cause those little things are so fun to chase around. Besides chasing squirrels I love to chase a ball and play fetch with humans. I think it is so much fun. But above all else, I need a family that loves to snuggle. Nothing in this world beats lying on the couch or in bed with a human. It is the best, safest feeling in the world. That is all I really want! ~Kisses, Tess |

Angelina Hi there....I'm Angelina. I tested FELV positive. However, if anyone has a really big heart and doesn't care that I have FELV, I would love a home. I have been told that my chances of being adopted are not great because I have FELV, however, I have also been told there are some people out there who wouldn't care...so I thought I would ask for a house! If you don't think you could take me home but think I am cute and want to sponsor me that would be way cool. I will live out my life at the sanctuary and would love to have a friend out there to support my stay here! I am a beautiful, sweet, shy, but loving girl. You could even come just visit me if you'd like. My friends and I would love company! ~Kisses, Angelina

Gypsy Hello...I'm Gypsy. I came to Happily Ever After about 7 months ago with my two babies. They were adopted and then I was going to get spayed and they found out I have some health issues. So I am going to stay here and be well taken care of. I know I am most likely going to be living here forever, but I would love a long distance forever friend. So if you would be willing to sponsor me for $125 a year, you could get a letter from me and a picture! I would really love to know that someone loves me and cares about me. Please consider being my sponsor and long distance forever friend. I look forward to hearing from you. ~With love, Gypsy

Ben Hi there, I'm Ben. I was found as a stray and brought to HEA. I'm a very handsome boy and they are guessing I was born sometime around January of 2006. Ben fits me so well, some call me Big Ben. When I came to the sanctuary I will admit I was pretty scrany looking but I have turned into a big muscular boy! My only downfall, if you want to call it that, is that I am FIV positive. I don't see it as a downfall, I'm one of the healthiest cats around, but I know some people don't see it that way, so that's why I'm telling you ahead of time. I really don't play much but I love to snuggle and get attention from creatures of the human kind. I could sit in a chair and cuddle for most of the day if given the opportunity. Do you want cuddle with me? I would love to cuddle with you! I also like to be vacuumed! ~Snuggles, Ben |

Cali Snuggles, I'm Cali. I am a fairly quiet girl but I love to be held and snuggled. I came to HEA with my brothers and sisters when my family had to move into an apartment and couldn't take all of us with. They had the hard decision to make on who to keep and who they wanted to find new homes. They thought I would be tougher than some, so they decided to give me a chance at a new life. I am at HEA now, and while I don't mind it here, I would really prefer a home of my own. Maybe, if you don't have any other cats and could take more than just me, you could take one of my brothers or sisters too...there is Torti, Rescue, Taz, and Dorian too. We would all love a home but have agreed that if we can find homes seperately that is okay too. So love just me or love us all but please consider giving me a home and family again! ~Snuggles, Cali |

Klein Hey there, I'm Klein. So I came to HEA when I was live trapped in Green Bay. They were trying to get some kittens and they got me and 2 other black and white cats...kind of funny isn't it?!? Anyway, when they did catch me, they found out I was scared and sort of feral. So I am hanging out in the feral room at the sanctuary for now, but I am making huge strides. I started by coming down on the floor to eat while people where cleaning, then I started sniffing them. and now I will occasionally allow a pet or two. I am told that is tremendous progress and I may get to move to a different room soon. When that happens I will officially be up for adoption, until then I am kind of on the fence. Until then, I am looking for someone to sponsor my stay, you can find out more info on the HEA website www.happilyeverafterinfo.org. Feel free to come visit me. I would love the company. ~Klein |

Shinay I'm Shinay, a beautiful girl, wouldn't you say? I came to HEA a year ago. I was originally surrendered by my owner because I didn’t get along with the other cat in the house. They told HEA I didn’t do well with other cats so they have worked with me a lot. I was originally put in a room with 14 other cats. That did not go so well. I wasn’t mean to them, I just hid all the time. So then HEA moved me into a smaller room that is meant for cats that have special needs or need socialization. I was put into a room with Dipstick, Tiger, and Jazzi. I can say that now, they are my friends. I eat out of the same dish at the same time as Dipstick and Tiger and I would cuddle. Jazzi and I are both kind of what you would call Divas, so we just co-exist! So I officially do well with other cats! This means I could go to a house with our without other cats and I would be happy! I am happiest sleeping in a cozy chair or on a big soft pillow. I would prefer a somewhat quiet household as I like to relax and too much activity makes me a little nervous. I am 9 years old but have many great years ahead of me and I would love to enjoy them with you. With love and affection, Shinay PS-I am 4 paw declawed. |
